At 97 years of age, Mzee Dominic Wetangula remains a strong man his age notwithstanding.

After serving his country for many years as a teacher, Mzee Wetangula who is one of the oldest people in Kenya today, must be a very proud old man.

The success of the child is no doubt the pride of every parent. This man be the feeling of this elderly man back in his village in Bungoma.

Mzee Dominic is the father of the National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula and Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi.

Moses Wetangula is the third in command in the President William Ruto adminstration.

His son had previously served as Bungoma County senator for two terms. Before that, he served as Sirisia MP since 2002 to 2013. At that time, he held several ministerial portfolios including that of foreign affairs minister.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi during the funeral of former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo in Lumakanda, Kakamega County on Tuesday.

Ahead of the 2027 general election, his other son Tim Wanyonyi is eyeing the Bungoma County Governor position. If he succeeds, Mzee Wetangula will live to see one of his son serving as National Assembly Speaker and the other one as Governor. This may become his greatest moment as a father.
