Tanzanian music star Zuchu has finally spoken out after socialite Gigy Money publicly apologised for their past differences, bringing an unexpected calm to a feud that had once dominated online conversations.

Speaking during a media briefing on Thursday, May 21, 2026, the singer appeared emotional as she reacted to the apology, describing it as a brave and mature move from Gigy Money.

Zuchu admitted the two had not always seen eye to eye and acknowledged that their disagreements had previously spilled onto social media, attracting attention from fans across East Africa. Despite the tension, she said she appreciated the decision to make peace instead of continuing public drama.

The Sukari hitmaker noted that apologising publicly is not easy, especially for public figures whose every move attracts criticism online. According to her, choosing reconciliation showed growth and should be encouraged rather than mocked.

She also urged fans to stop fuelling unnecessary rivalries between female entertainers, saying constant comparisons and online attacks often worsen conflicts that could otherwise be resolved privately.

The development comes months after the pair exchanged indirect remarks online, with fans closely following the fallout and speculating about the source of their tension. Clips from interviews and social media posts had repeatedly sparked debate among their supporters, turning the disagreement into a trending entertainment topic in Tanzania and neighbouring countries.

Gigy Money’s apology earlier this week caught many by surprise, with some fans praising her honesty while others questioned whether the reconciliation would last.

Even so, Zuchu maintained that she had chosen peace and wanted to move forward positively. She said life was too short for prolonged grudges and insisted that mutual respect among artistes was important for the growth of the entertainment industry.

The singer has recently remained active in music and performances as she continues to strengthen her influence across the East African music scene.
