Ugandan music star Jose Chameleone has paid tribute to Kenyan musician Redsan, recalling the friendship and experiences that have connected the two artists over the years.
Chameleone shared the message ahead of Redsan’s upcoming celebrations, describing the Kenyan singer as his brother, friend and family.
The Ugandan hitmaker expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received when he first came to Kenya. He also remembered how Redsan introduced him to several parts of Nairobi and his wider social circle.

He said those experiences became an important part of his memories in Kenya and highlighted the strong bond that developed between the two musicians.
Chameleone also recalled one of the entertainment venues that featured prominently in his early experiences with Nairobi’s music and nightlife scene.
According to the Ugandan star, Redsan introduced him to Florida 2000, a popular nightclub that became part of their shared memories.
Looking back, Chameleone said the two musicians had once dreamed about reaching the level they have achieved in their careers.
His message suggested that Redsan’s anniversary celebrations represent more than just a concert, but also an opportunity to reflect on a long musical journey.
Chameleone confirmed that he would attend the event scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026.
Redsan is marking three decades in the music industry with a major concert at Nairobi’s Carnivore Gardens.
The event, dubbed ‘Celebrating 30 Years of Dancehall Royalty,’ is expected to bring together several established names from Kenya, Uganda, Jamaica and other parts of the region.
The celebration will highlight Redsan’s long contribution to African dancehall and his influence on the East African entertainment scene.
For Chameleone, however, the event also carries a personal meaning.
