Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno arrived at Angata Barikoi and confronted Police Officers after protests turned chaotic.
According to an update issued by the MP five people were allegedly shot dead and several others injured after peaceful protests turned chaotic at Angata Barikoi.
The Member of Parliament also shared a video of him arriving at the scene. He boldly confronted the Police officers amid gunshots.
“Why are you killing people? Wewe Why are you killing people, Why are you killing people?” The MP shouted repeatedly at the Police officers after alighting from his vehicle.
This follows a shooting incident at Angata Barrakoi. Reports indicate that residents were protesting over a parcel of land, when police opened fire on them, allegedly killing five people and injuring several others.
The shocking incident has continued to elicit mixed reactions on social media, with a section wondering how powerful the owner who acquired the land is to warrant such force from police.
“Why are you killing people? Nani Mkubwa wenu. Wewe Nakuongelesha. Who is your boss?” A bold MP Ngeno confronted the officers who appeared to ignore him and continued minding their business.
