Accompanied by top Azimio leaders, Raila Odinga attended the final send off ceremony of former Kanduyi Member of Parliament Lawrence Sifuna in Siritanyi, Bungoma county.
Raila utilized this opportunity to continue with the onslaught against president William Ruto’s recent claim that he is ‘unstoppable’. Ruto made the ‘unstoppable’ statement in reference to the court’s decision to stop the implementation of the housing levy.
Ruto had also thrown jabs at the opposition stating that despite the many attacks, he will not be stopped by anyone in his quest to implement the bill.
In Bungoma, a furious Raila condemned the ‘unstoppable’ remarks made by the president. A harshly speaking Raila beat the chest recounting how he stopped the all powerful Moi.
Raila vowed to go against Ruto in full force and stop what he termed as oppressive policies exploiting Kenyans. “The National Assembly has been captured but we shall soldier on,” said Raila.
“I heard him saying that he is unstoppable. If I managed to stop the all powerful Nyayo government, who is he? Who is Ruto. Who does he think he is ,” questioned Raila.
“We shall stop you by all means. Are you together with me?,” Raila asked the crowd. “Yes! Yes!,” The crowd shouted back.
Raila did not spare the speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula who he accused of refusing to give up his political party position after taking the speaker’s role.
