Tash G

Businessman Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, has sparked political speculation after attending a United Democratic Alliance rally in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County.

His appearance surprised many because he has largely kept a low public profile, especially in political matters. During the event, Tash addressed supporters and openly campaigned for UDA candidate Samuel Muchina Nyagah ahead of the constituency by-election.

Videos and photos from the rally quickly spread online, with many Kenyans commenting on his confidence while speaking fluent Kikuyu and interacting with the crowd. His participation has led to widespread debate about whether he is preparing to venture into politics or was simply supporting the party’s candidate.

Tash first became widely known through his marriage to the late gospel singer Betty Bayo. Many Kenyans admired him for the care and commitment he showed during her illness until her death.

He has also remained involved in raising Betty’s children from her previous marriage to televangelist Victor Kanyari, earning praise from some members of the public.

His latest appearance at the political event has divided opinion online. Some social media users encouraged him to pursue politics if that is his ambition, while others questioned his intentions and whether the move signals a future political career. So far, Tash has not publicly addressed the speculation, leaving room for continued discussion.

Meanwhile, Victor Kanyari recently attracted attention after claiming that his businesses generate between KSh700,000 and KSh1.5 million in daily profits. His remarks drew mixed reactions, with some expressing doubt about the figures while others praised his charitable activities.
