Fresh details have emerged about the final moments of gospel artiste Rachel Wandeto, a mother of two who was reportedly attacked while walking home in Kasarani, Nairobi. She had been living in Kasarani but originally comes from Kirinyaga County.L

According to accounts she shared before her condition worsened, Rachel said she was walking home when she noticed she was being followed by two men.

At first, she said she thought it was a normal interaction and did not feel immediately threatened. However, the situation changed suddenly.

She explained that the two men began speaking to her and later demanded money from her.

They allegedly told her, “Ebu tutumie pesa ulipewa,” loosely meaning that she should send them money they believed she had received.

Rachel reportedly told them that she did not have any money at the time and could not give them anything.

Moments later, she said the situation turned violent.

According to her narration, the attackers suddenly poured a suspected acid substance on her body, including her head, legs, and other parts of her body.

She further alleged that she was also set on fire before the attackers left her in critical condition.

Despite the severe injuries, a good Samaritan reportedly came to her rescue after hearing her cries for help. She was rushed to a nearby hospital in Uzima before being transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital for specialized treatment due to the seriousness of her burns.

Rachel Wandeto had earlier gained public attention due to her open admiration for President William Ruto.

Reports indicated that she had tattooed his name on her body as a personal expression of support.
