DJ Sonnie M was born and raised in Nakuru Town She went to Lanet Secondary School which is still in Nakuru County. After high school, she learned an IT course and later she joined a security job work. Afterward, she became a hustler with no constant job. Within that period She got pregnant and delivered a healthy baby boy. She relocated from Nakuru to Nairobi in search of a job.
In Nairobi, she found a lover but that was the most abusive marriage that she ever had. Later she quit the marriage. She trained and became DJ at Kiengei Live and that is where they meet with Muthee Ndegenye. Afterward, she was introduced to the Ndegenye family and her inlaws accepted her as their daughter. A month later she announced she was pregnant with the man. Some weeks that followed they bought a branded car with the name Ndegenye Entertainment which has all their working things including speakers, microphones, and many others.
