Flamboyant Neno Evangelism preacher Pastor James Ng’ang’a has once again stirred controversy, this time by mocking Prophet Dr. David Owuor over his latest prophecy claiming the world will end on August 2nd, 2025 at exactly midnight.
In a fiery sermon delivered during a live church service, Pastor Ng’ang’a didn’t hold back. With his usual dramatic flair, he tore into the doomsday message, accusing Prophet Owuor of misleading Kenyans with recycled fear narratives.
“Wee mzee umezeeka, unyoe hizo ndevu!” Ng’ang’a thundered from the pulpit. “Kila mwaka unakuja na mwisho wa dunia, lakini bado tunakula ugali na kuku! Hii dunia itaisha ukishanyoa hizo ndevu pengine!”
Ng’ang’a’s remarks were in direct response to a viral prophecy delivered by Prophet Owuor during a recent crusade, in which he claimed he had received divine instruction warning that the end of the world is scheduled for August 2nd, 2025 at exactly 12:00 a.m.
While Owuor’s loyal followers have taken the prophecy seriously some even reportedly selling off properties in preparation a large section of Kenyans have responded with satire, memes, and now, pulpit pushback.
Online reactions have been explosive. On X (formerly Twitter), the hashtag #NgangaVsOwuor trended for hours, with Kenyans weighing in on the growing drama between the country’s most controversial prophets.
“God has not sent fear. He has sent salvation,” Ng’ang’a added. “If He wants to end the world, He doesn’t need a microphone.”
As the predicted doomsday date inches closer, Kenyans are bracing themselves some with repentance, others with popcorn. The clock is ticking, but Pastor Ng’ang’a clearly isn’t losing sleep.
