Faki and Ruto

When he was campaigning, William Ruto made it clear that he was also feeling the pain of the high cost of living in the country. For that reason, he promised to reduce the cost of living at any cost if elected as the 5th President of the Nation, something that Kenyans did.

Well, after Ruto was elected President, he has been coming up with different ways of reducing the cost of living with one of them being reintroducing GMOs back in the country and just recently, Ruto and his government decided to waiver import duty on maize and rice so as to avert food crisis in the country.

That is a decision that left Mwea farmers unhappy but today, Ruto’s decision was fully supported by Wahome Thuku who told Mwea farmers that he wants the imported rice and not the Mwea rice.

Through his official facebook account, Wahome Thuku claimed that in 2020, former President Uhuru Kenyatta issued an order for all rice supplied to government institutions to be bought from Mwea but still, they didn’t listen to him and voted for Ruto over Uhuru’s preferred presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
