Moments after landing in her home country, the enslaved Diana Chepkemboi emotionally pleaded with the Kenyan government to reach out to more people of her caliber and bring them back.
Speaking to the media after landing safely, Diana disclosed that a lot of people in the Gulf undergo harassment but they lack channels to disclose their suffering. Diana revealed that she flew to Saudi Arabia with hopes of getting a better life but what she met was exemplary of a nightmare.
“Mine was just the tip of the iceberg, people are suffering there,” she emotionally stated.
Diana was rescued from her evil employer after photos of her deteriorating health leaked online. She says, in her statement, that she was lucky to have found the means to share her photos online revealing that the Arabic employers issue threats to girls working for them.
Apart from Diana, another family has reunited with their daughter Loise Wairimu who was equally mistreated in the Gulf. Cases of harassment of Kenyan citizens seeking jobs from the Arabs have been rampant.
