Businessman Jimi Wanjigi has accused the National Police Service of attempting to frame him by planting evidence, including communication gadgets and teargas canisters.

Wanjigi claims he has footage showing a woman placing these items in a car he asserts is not his, despite the police allegedly vandalizing his CCTV system.

In a press conference, Wanjigi urged the government to separate political disputes from personal matters, accusing President William Ruto’s administration of targeting him and his family.

Wanjigi expressed deep concern over the escalating violence and harm inflicted on his family, as well as others, in what he views as politically motivated attacks.

“Why should political disagreements lead to personal attacks?” Wanjigi questioned, highlighting the dangerous precedent such actions set. He called on the government to uphold justice and refrain from using state institutions to settle political scores.

The accusations come amid rising tensions between Wanjigi and the Ruto administration, further complicating an already strained political landscape.

Wanjigi’s allegations have sparked widespread debate, with calls for an impartial investigation to determine the truth behind these serious claims. The National Police Service has yet to respond to the allegations.
