According to reports, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga and Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum Opiyo Wandayi were forced to make an emergency landing after the helicopter they were travelling in encountered unfavourable weather conditions near Chepngetuny in the Belgut area.
The aircraft reportedly landed close to Belgut Technical and Vocational Training Institute (TTI) after deteriorating weather made it unsafe for the helicopter to continue its journey.
