Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru has this morning asked President William Ruto not to listen to the noises coming from people who do not want to admit that the Head of State is loved in Kirinyaga and the Mt Kenya region, courtesy of his hard work and honesty in delivering the 2022 promises.
Speaking at State House, Nairobi, during an engagement with grassroots leaders from Kirinyaga County, Waiguru, in na video clip seen by this writer, can be heard engaging with leaders asking them to confirm to Ruto why he is loved in the region, using the viral Wira Warie, which loosely means let the work speak.
“President amefanya kazi Kirinyaga ama hajafanya. Wangapi wanasema kazi ya president iongee…. Hata hao wenyewe wanajua kumtoa Ruto haitakua rahisi. Kama Kibaki alikua na mashida mingine na hakutolewa. Kama ata ya Uhuru tulirudia uchaguzi na hawakumtoa,” Waiguru said.
On why the 2027 poll will not be a walk in the park to most of the opposition leaders, Waiguru has made it clear that politics of tribalism, slogans and insults will be overshadowed by the work William Ruto is doing.
