Celebrated Kenyan musician Wahu Kagwi has recently made a huge decision with regards to how she has been raising her youngest daughter Shiru.

The ‘Sweet Love’ hit maker has actually finally stopped breastfeeding the two-year-old, and this decision was actually a bittersweet moment for her.

This is because even though Wahu actually wanted to stop breastfeeding Shiru at some point in her life, she still felt a bit sad because she was already gotten used to breastfeeding the young one.

The award-winning singer actually disclosed this in a post that she made on her Instagram stories some few hours ago, where she said;

“I finally got the heart to stop nyonyeshaing Shishi. It feels like a break up 😪😪 we’re both sad but alas it’s that time 😪. Can any mama relate?”

Wahu struggles to stop breastfeeding
Wahu has actually finally managed to stop breastfeeding Shiru after close to a year of trying to do so and failing.

The talented singer had actually made this intentions clear to her daughter in March 2024, when she openly refused to give breast milk to her.

At the time, Wahu posted a video that showed how Shiru wanted to breastfeed, but the singer did not allow it because she wanted to feed her some contents that were in a cup.

The ‘Still A Liar’ hit maker infact stood firm on her decision until the baby girl finally gave up on wanting the breast milk.

Since that video however, it seems that Wahu still continued to breastfeed baby Shiru because she has just stopped it recently.

Earlier this year, Wahu also opened up about the challenges that she has been facing in trying to convince Shiru to stop breastfeeding.

She actually made a post that just showed how the two-year-old was already so accustomed to the breast milk, that when she removed her from one boob, she went to the next one.
