Kenyan content creator and educator Teacher Cillah has exposed a barrage of abusive online messages she received following her viral social media interactions with First Son George Ruto.
Taking to Instagram, Cillah shared screenshots of personal attacks sent from a pseudonymous account targeting her physical appearance, wardrobe, and AI-generated photos.
Cyberbullying and Cillah’s Response
A pseudonymous user sent derogatory messages mocking her financial standing and looks, telling her to “brush your teeth with expensive toothpaste” and stop wearing cheap clothes, while claiming she was unsuitable for the Ruto family.
Unshaken by the vitriol, Cillah deflected the insults with humor, asking her followers to suggest premium brands: “Wacheni nicheke… please recommend expensive toothpaste and expensive clothes zenye si za 1500.”
The online troll attack follows days of widespread attention generated by Cillah’s public banter with George Ruto, which saw the President’s son break his silence to playfully ask for her TSC registration number.
