Outspoken Nairobi county senator Edwin Sifuna is among the leaders who accompanied opposition supremo Raila Odinga to his tour of Meru county on Saturday, 3rd February 2024.
While in Meru county, Edwin Sifuna continued with his war against President William Ruto who he has unapologetically branded a liar for failing to honour his pre-election promises.
The outspoken senator asked the residents how they refer to an untrue statements made by a person before the residents unanimously shouted “uongo” which loosely translates to a lie.
Sifuna maintained that he will continue to call President William Ruto despite being castigated by a section of leaders from the Kenya Kwanza brigade who now claim that the lawmaker does not respect the Head of State.
Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana while debating with Edwin Sifuna on Citizen TV on Thursday strongly called out the senator for repeatedly calling President Ruto a liar, saying that it shows lack of respect.
Nominated senator Millicent Omanga also did not fail to point her fingers directly at Sifuna, saying that the leader has lost respect for the head of state.
But Sifuna has maintained that there is not problem with calling President Ruto a liar because most of his promises are never fulfilled. He vows to continue.
