On Monday, former Aide-de-Camp to President William Ruto, Brigadier Timothy Stelu Lekolool, made a rare public appearance when he posed for a photo with journalist Gabriel Kemei.
Brigadier Lekolool served as Ruto’s ADC for barely one month before being replaced by Colonel Fabian Lengusuranga in October 2022.
He is best remembered for his long service to former President Uhuru Kenyatta, the man he served for almost four years.
The naval officer made history as the first ever ADC from the Kenya Navy, when he was picked as Uhuru’s new Aide-de-Camp in 2018 to succeed the now Brigadier Victor Mburu, the current Engineers Brigade commander.
In 2022, he made history as the first ever serving ADC to attain the rank of a Brigadier or one-star general.
After being dropped as an ADC in 2022, he transitioned into the National Defence College, where he now works as directing staff.
For over two years now, he has kept a very low profile even as he focuses on his new assignment at the NDC.
