Tha actions of the High Court who allowed the government under President William Ruto go keep on collecting House Levy has caught the attention of several Kenyans who took to their different social media platforms to express their concern.
In a report that has been shared by a reliable source of information, it has been reported that the High Court Declared the housing Levy unconstitutional, an incident that was welcomed by Kenyans on different social media platforms.
Their happiness is said to have been short lived after the same court stated that the Kenya Kwanza government is going to collect House levy until January 2024.
Taking to his different social media platforms to express his opinion on this topic, this is what renowned United Democratic Alliance party politician, Honorable Aaron Cheruiyot had to say.
” Just wondering, if as Justice Majanja and Co told us yesterday, it is discriminatory to charge housing levy on the formal sector alone, what then obtains for PAYE, NSSF ?
Some bad news for the informal sector perhaps?” Cheruiyot.
