A clip of the exchange resurfaced on Instagram on Thursday, August 27, showing the popular Kiswahili TV presenting couple seated at their news desk mid-debate.
The argument began when Rashid insisted that whatever a person posts online is entirely their own business.
“Right now, if I share a picture with a song, I know why I chose the song. It is my social media page,” he said.
Lulu pushed back, arguing that a song choice could easily be interpreted as a coded message directed at a partner.
“Your wife will ask you why you chose that specific song,” she told him, adding that certain posts could send unintended messages to fans.
Rashid remained firm in his stance.
“She should also use her song of choice,” he responded.
The debate took a playful turn when Lulu posed a hypothetical scenario directly involving her husband.
“If I post a song about a breakup, my husband must ask me. Right?” she said, glancing at the camera.
Rashid was unmoved, insisting she was not obligated to explain her posts.
“No, that is your social media page. Must you explain everything?” he replied, drawing laughter from the set.
