Veteran journalist Jeff Koinange has shocked fans by revealing details about his first marriage, which lasted seven years. Speaking candidly, the Citizen TV anchor shared that he was once married to a flight attendant while living in New York. He described the relationship as “seven good years” but admitted that despite the love, distance and life changes pulled them apart.
“She was always away, and I was in school, then started working. But eventually, we just fell out of love,” Jeff explained. He added that the breakup was painful but necessary, and despite not seeing each other for years, they still keep in touch digitally.
Jeff, who is now happily married to Shaila Koinange and has a son, rarely opens up about his personal life. Fans were touched by his honesty, with some praising his maturity in handling heartbreak, while others reflected on how hard marriage can be in modern times.
Koinange also once revealed that he feels broke when he has KSh 20,000 in M-Pesa, a confession that left many Kenyans amazed.
