In a recent parliamentary session Hon. Kimani Ichungwa a member of parliament from Kikuyu region, brought forth a motion accusing a Kikuyu radio station, Kameme FM of disseminating false information about the government. He specifically pointed out two radio presenters, namely Pastor Ben or Muthee Kiengei and Gatoye Wa Mbugua as the purveyors of this alleged misinformation.

According to Kimani he said these two individuals are illiterate and have only completed primary school education which is making them misinform kenyans making them attack the government for no reason. During the morning show Kiengei could not hold his anger and he decided to fire back at him without fear.

Responding to these accusations Pastor Ben expressed his contentment with being considered a class 8 dropout emphasizing that despite their limited education they have managed to captivate a massive audience of over 5 million Kenyans each morning. In a counterattack aimed at Kimani, Pastor Ben suggested that instead of focusing on targeting Kameme FM, the MP should address pressing issues such as the high cost of living and the harassment faced by struggling individuals from municipal council officers (commonly known as Kanjos), who confiscate and destroy their merchandise.

Pastor Ben further stated that Kimani’s discomfort stems from the fact that what Kameme FM is informing the public about is indeed true; the government has reportedly obtained a loan amounting to 2 trillion Kenyan shillings within a single year which is true but Ichungwa is denying. Kiengei went ahead and told him to stop insulting the radio station and it’s presenters and instead focus on developing the country. Watch the video in the link below.
