The teachers service commission TSC, is a commission under the ministry of education that deals with the registration of teachers, employment of teachers, promotion of teachers, deployment of teachers and also it has the Authority to fire teachers across the country.

According to the source, The teachers service commission TSC Chief executive Officer CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia stated that the replaced teachers would be assigned to Mandera, Wajir, and Garissa counties.She added that recruitment was prompted by non-local teachers refusing to work in North Eastern due to security concerns.
Dr. Nancy Macharia said that the teachers service commission TSC focus on engaging qualified teachers from North Eastern to prevent similar situations. She encouraged teachers in Northern Kenya to collect application forms from a County Education Director to start teaching.
Regarding the interdicted teachers who abandoned their duties, Macharia affirmed their suspension while the commission conducted investigations to understand why they demanded transfers.She assured that due process would be followed in addressing their cases.
