Baken was one of the kid star in KTN drama series Junior.
It ran every Sunday at 7:30 Pm and Baken was actually the big reason Kenyans glued to TV to watch.
But then after the Junior show Many expected him to become a bigger star in his adulthood but that’s not the case.
During his time on the hit KTN Swahili family drama Junior, Baken real name Sulleiman Sheriff Muhammad played a witty, argumentative boy who constantly found himself in trouble due to his sharp tongue. He acted alongside a highly talented cast of child actors Junior and Totti his siblings.
Unlike his younger TV brother, Baken did not leave Junior prematurely; he stayed with the series until the show officially wrapped up production in 2021.
But after then it’s when everything began to change while everyone expected him to be a bigger TV stars.
Being a child actor is not easy. Kenyans have expectations, having watched you grow up on TV, unaware of the negative effects of fame at a young age.
What really happened to Baken just a few years after the Junior show ended?
After leaving Junior show or rather when the show ended Baken seemed to embrace a new life not as a actor but away from TV screens.

The video sparked immense concern across Kenya. Fans expressed disappointment and sadness seeing a highly talented child actor, who once starred in a popular national television series, fall into crime and drug abuse.
As of now Baken seems to have reformed after he was caught allegedly stealing in 2023.
In June 2025 Baken resurfaced on TikTok, showing a healthier physical transformation and signaling a desire to rebuild his life. Kenyans online rallied behind him with encouraging messages to not give up.
Just recently in ealry 2026 Baken appeared in a recent YouTube livestream by popular prankster and
Comedian Nick Big Fish while in Isiolo County. As Nick strolled through the streets of Isiolo, engaging with residents, he came across Baken, who recognised him from across the road.
The actor ran across the highway to interact with Nick, who immediately identified him from Junior. At first, Nick assumed Baken was intoxicated based on his demeanour. However, as their conversation progressed, it became clear that he was composed and sober.
By the mid 2026 a lady also posted a photo together with Baken on her tiktok citing that he was her favourite actor and still remains.
The photo quickly sparked reactions online, with netizens sharing mixed opinions about Baken’s appearance and current circumstances.
