Renowned actress Trisha Khalid is reeling from shock after being robbed in broad daylight in Nairobi’s central business district. The actress lost her gold chain, valued at KSh 80,000, in an incident that left her physically injured and emotionally shaken.
Trisha took to Instagram to share her distress, revealing that the thieves snatched her chain with such force that she suffered bruises on her neck. This was her first experience with robbery, and she admitted she was still in disbelief. “They snatched my gold chain in town today. I’m still in shock; they bruised my neck. I’m not fine,” she lamented.
Her revelation sparked mixed reactions online. While many sympathized with her ordeal, others questioned why she was wearing such an expensive chain in an area notorious for muggings. Some users even joked that she should be grateful the thieves only took the chain and not her entire neck.
This incident highlights the ongoing security concerns in Nairobi, where muggings and snatch and run thefts remain rampant. Many residents have reported losing valuables in similar fashion, particularly in crowded areas.
Despite the trauma, Trisha has yet to confirm whether she reported the incident to authorities. Her experience serves as a stark reminder of the need for heightened caution and security in the city.
