Man in Bus

Residents of Kisumu were left stunned after an unusual spectacle unfolded at the main bus terminal—a young man, reportedly in his mid-20s, shocked onlookers by hiring an entire bus solely to take him and his girlfriend to Nairobi.

Eyewitnesses say the man, whose identity remains undisclosed, had recently sold a piece of land and decided to “travel in style” with his partner.

Instead of booking two seats on a regular trip, he paid for every seat on the bus, ensuring that they had the entire 50-seater vehicle to themselves.

With just the couple and the driver aboard, the bus departed Kisumu amid disbelief, laughter, and a flurry of phone cameras capturing the rare moment.

Locals could hardly believe their eyes as the empty bus rolled out of the station, horns blaring and windows down, with the lovebirds waving at amused bystanders.

“He said he wanted peace, privacy, and a grand gesture for his girlfriend,” said a terminal worker. “We’ve never seen anything like it.”

While some praised the man for his romantic creativity, others questioned the practicality of such an extravagant move. But for the young couple, the moment seemed worth every shilling.

Social media lit up with reactions, many dubbing the act as “boldly Kenyan romance” and a perfect mix of love and luxury.

As the story continues to circulate online, one thing is clear: Kisumu has witnessed a love story that will be talked about for years to come—proof that sometimes, love really does take the whole bus.
