Family issues don’t always stay private, especially when fame is involved. That’s what’s happening now between popular Kenyan comedian Flaqo and his aunt, who has taken to TikTok to air out some personal grievances.

With many fans seeing Flaqo as a humble, funny, and grounded figure, the recent claims by his maternal aunt have left people wondering — is success pulling him away from home?

In a recent TikTok livestream, Flaqo’s aunt, known online as Nyakwar Janeko, shared her frustration. She claimed that despite Flaqo’s growing popularity and achievements, he’s not doing enough for his own mother.

According to her, the family often feels ignored, especially when it comes to emotional or financial support.

She mentioned that Flaqo barely picks up calls from relatives and seems to think they only reach out to ask for money.

Nyakwar, whose real name is Caroline Auma, didn’t hold back during the livestream. She pointed out that she’s the one who often spends time with Flaqo’s mother and takes her out, implying that Flaqo isn’t as present or involved as he could be.

While she’s no stranger to speaking her mind online, this time, her comments hit a nerve with fans and followers, sparking a wider conversation about how public figures handle family responsibilities.

This family drama has now taken over TikTok discussions, with many debating what children owe their parents once they become successful.

Flaqo, whose real name is Erastus Ayieko Otieno, has not responded directly. However, in a past interview, he described his aunt as someone who behaves online exactly as she does in person — bold, unfiltered, and expressive. That may explain why he hasn’t reacted yet.

This situation raises an important question: when someone rises to fame, how much do they owe their family — and who gets to decide what’s “enough”?
