Raila Odinga, the head of Azimio la Umoja, has come under fire from deputy president Rigathi Gachagua for holding protests.
Gachagua informed the former prime minister that there is nothing he can do after organizing demonstrations on Friday, January 27 at the inauguration of the Affordable Housing Plan in Shauri Moyo, Nairobi County.
Raila had declared that he would not recognize the Kenya Kwanza government on January 23 in Kamukunji.
“We are unable to and will not accept the legitimacy of the Kenya Kwanza dictatorship and administration. William Ruto is not recognized by us as the president of Kenya. We don’t recognize him, and we also don’t recognize any of the other authorities who are serving alongside him, said Raila.
The opposition leader also urged that the IEBC’s records for the elections in August 2022 be made available to the public and independently audited.
“We demand that the whole IEBC infrastructure and the election records from 2022 be made public and subject to an independent audit. Raila insisted that a forensic examination of the IEBC outcomes and results was necessary.
