The family of the pilot who died in the helicopter crash that killed Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno are in shock and full of sadness. They said the tragedy was sudden and awful.

Francis, a close relative, said they were getting ready to see him, not knowing it’d be the last time. That get-together won’t happen now.

“We were supposed to meet up, but sadly, it’s not going to happen,” Francis said softly. “We didn’t see this coming at all because he’s never had an accident in all his time as a pilot. So this was the first, the last, and the worst.”

The family says the pilot was very dedicated and careful for years. He was known for being cautious and professional in the air. His friends and coworkers knew him as a calm, focused guy who was really into his job.

What makes it even tougher is that he was just six months from retiring. The family mentioned he was looking forward to getting out of the air and spending more time with his family. He was already planning for a quieter life after so many years in aviation.

Now, his family is left with questions and sad memories. They said he was a loving family man who was proud of flying and taking care of his family.

While the crash is being investigated, the family is focusing on honoring his life. They’re relying on their faith and the support of their community as they deal with this unexpected loss.

For them, the skies he was so good at flying in are now quiet and sad.
