President William Samoei Ruto is expected to face a stiff competition in the next general elections, where he will defend his seat seeking re-election.Many powerful leaders have already hinted on challenging him come 2027.
The first in command has been facing a lot of pressure especially from the opposition team who are always pushing him to deliver goodies.But considering the current situation people are suffering due to increase in taxation, which has made the Cost of Living high and the current flood disaster which has misplaced many Kenyans making the government measures to prevent the tragic being questioned.
If Ruto fails to fulfill the promises he made earlier during the campaign trail season then things will not be easy for him in the next general elections.According to my Opinion, this is the powerful leader from Kisii who can allegedly defeat him in the upcoming 2027 elections with a huge margin.
Fred Matiangi
Fred Matiangi is one of the most influential leaders in the country due to his strong stability.The legislator’s fame into light when he was first appointed as the Cabinet minister for Education in 2015 by former Head of State Uhuru Kenyatta.
His incredible service earned him a huge promotion in 2018, after being named as the new Cabinet Secretary for Interior Security and Coordination of the National government. Since then his star shined bright especially on how he transformed Uhuru’s regime at that moment.
Many political analysts have severally argued that Matiangi has already presented himself as a key leader and would be very easy for him to clinch any seat he would vie for in the future.They claim that many Kenyans fell in love with him due to his good public service deliverance and the values he has.
Fred comes from the famous Gusii region which is mostly occupied by the Abagusii tribe and consists of of two counties; Kisii and Nyamira.According to IEBC records the area has a total registered of more than 1.5 million registered voters.This would be a very big boost for him Incase he decides to vie for the presidential seat in 2027.
Moreover, the Politician has a huge substantial following nationwide and he is an ideological man, which would make people to fall for his ideas.Additionaly the former CS is a close friend of EX-president Uhuru Kenyatta and Azimio leader Raila Odinga.If these two prominent politicians would endorse his candidature, Matiangi would garner more votes which could see him win the Presidency.
