While appearing at the Nakuru Law Courts, the late President Daniel Moi’s grandson Mr. Collins Kibet, spoke about how life has been so miserable for him. Kibet got sentenced to a two-week jail term for failing to provide child support.
Moi’s grandson was captured in a video saying, the clothes he was wearing on that day, Wednesday 9th, July 2025, he had been bought by his friend identified as Irine Njenga. To him, she is a kind-hearted person who decided to help him in her own capacity when he was in need of help.
Video with this information has been highlighted on the official Facebook page of Northrift News. Kibet who appeared frustrated, could not keep calm, he revealed that truly he is undergoing a lot of suffering despite being a son of the late Jonathan Moi, brother to Hon. Gideon Moi.
To him, it’s the people like Irine Njenga who are assisting him with clothing and food. In the above mentioned video, Kibet went ahead and said, he sleeps in the streets of Rongai, Nakuru City. He has become friends with people on the streets, it’s them who are currently helping him in one way or the other. Moi’s grandson said.
He further stated that, Gideon Moi and his stepmother have collaborated and that they have taken away everything that his late father, Jonathan Moi owned. He has been left without anything that he can use to generate income for himself and people who would wish to depend on him for support. He said.
