Old Kenyan

A 40-year-old Kenyan businesswoman has sparked online debate after sharing why she prefers younger men to those in her age group.

In a video circulating on social media, the woman said she was not interested in dating men aged around 40, claiming they made her feel as though she was dating much older partners.

She openly declared her preference for Gen Z men but admitted that the arrangement came with financial challenges.

“I am a 40-year-old woman and I cannot stand men my age. If any of them approach me, it feels like I am dating an old man, a grandfather,” she said.

The businesswoman then appealed to potential customers to support her clothing business by purchasing dresses, tops and skirts.

Her appeal came as she explained the financial side of her preferred lifestyle, although she did not provide further details about her relationships.

She also discussed her eating habits, saying she takes oats for breakfast and avoids chapatis and mandazis.

Kenyans React to Her Comments

Her remarks attracted different reactions from social media users, with some questioning her expectations while others responded with jokes.

Peter Dawo Abok suggested that some men in their 40s were more focused on building their finances and were less willing to spend money on partners’ lifestyles.

Johnlee Beef joked that dating younger men could bring its own relationship challenges.

Muthoni Mwangi also joined the conversation with a humorous comment about eating chapatis.

The reactions reflected differing views on age-gap relationships, financial expectations and the reasons people choose particular partners.
