Pro UDA politicians CS Moses Kuria and Senator Aaron Cheruiyot have exchanged braws online concerning the ongoing impeachment motion against Governor Kawira.

Cheruiyot criticized Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Moses Kuria on Tuesday for his criticism of 13 Kenya Kwanza senators regarding the impeachment of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza.

Responding to a tweet from Kuria that targeted several senators, including himself, Cheruiyot warned against escalating tensions between the executive and the parliament.

Kuria had singled out various senators, including Cheruiyot, Mandago, Sigei, Mundigi, Cherargei, Seki, and Dullo, among others, over the pending impeachment motion in the Senate against Governor Mwangaza.

Kuria asserted that the issues presented did not justify Mwangaza’s impeachment, stating that the most serious offense, as per his understanding, was not sufficient grounds for such action.

The clash between Kuria and Cheruiyot occurred shortly after Senate Speaker Amason Kingi cautioned Kuria about his critical comments regarding the Senate’s proceedings on Mwangaza’s impeachment.

Kingi urged Kuria and all other relevant parties to refrain from making statements that could prejudice the fair disposal of the ongoing matter. Warning of potential repercussions, Kingi stated that if Kuria failed to heed the caution, he would be summoned.
