Winnie Bwire, the beloved actress known for her role as Dida in Sultana, is currently being laid to rest in Koholera, Matungu, Mumias East, Kakamega County. Winnie passed away on September 5 while undergoing treatment for breast cancer at a hospital in Turkey, Europe.
Her body was flown from Mombasa to Nairobi, then to Kisumu, and finally to Kakamega, where she is being buried. Images from the funeral procession have emerged, showing Lulu Hassan, deeply heartbroken, eulogizing her.
Several of Winnie’s colleagues from the entertainment industry, including Lulu Hassan, have attended the ceremony, along with friends whose names have not been mentioned.
The body was taken to Koholera Primary School for viewing, where many people, including friends and neighbors, came to pay their respects. During the night, candles were lit around the area in tribute.
