Renowned political commentator and vocal social justice crusader Wahome Thuku has once again stirred the hornet’s nest with bold allegations surrounding the much-publicized empowerment extravaganza held by Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi.

Thuku, a no-nonsense legal mind and seasoned blogger, has unleashed what appears to be a scathing exposés.

He alleges that the so-called empowerment machinery event was nothing more than an imaginary show of political bravado, a hollow spectacle aimed at triggering cheap applause and social media optics.

According to the allegations making rounds in the murky corridors of Facebook politics, the empowerment trucks and trolleys—paraded as symbols of transformative leadership—were reportedly nothing more than props returned to their original owners post-event.

It has been implied that the whole affair was a carefully choreographed charade, a political motorcade of borrowed glitter designed to dazzle the unsuspecting mwananchi.

Thuku insinuates that the heavy arsenal of machinery and empowerment vehicles, paraded in a style likened to a motor showroom, was never truly meant for community transformation but was a classic political gimmick targeting media clout.

Insiders claim this manoeuvre slapped rival factions within the Molima battalions hard, particularly those in Mt Kenya, where comparisons are now being drawn aggressively.

The symbolic message appears to have been one of dominance and command—a political mic-drop that raised the bar in theatrics rather than impact.

In typical Kenyan political fashion, the soap opera continues, with Mt Kenya voices now allegedly demanding equal empowerment theatrics, igniting tribal arithmetic debates on who is truly “MKABILA.”

If the allegations hold any water, then the Kapseret empowerment circus could well be enshrined as one of the grandest PR stunts in recent Kenyan political folklore.

Although the information maybe be just allegations but it raises a bigger question on the country’s leadership integrity.

Brace yourself, the 2027 political drumbeats are already echoing through the valleys.
