Kapseret Legislator Oscar Kipchumba Sudi today morning graced an interview at Kass FM/TV where he sent a message to Rift Valley Residents regarding Mt Kenya votes and the fate of Kithure Kindiki.
Speaking at the local media station, Sudi said that the recent Ol Kalou By-elections results sent a message that Mt Kenya region may no longer be in the same page with President Ruto ahead of next year’s general elections.
“Let’s set aside the votes of the Mountain (Mt Kenya), so that we begin another journey a fresh” Oscar Sudi said when translated from Kalenjin.
On the fate of Kindiki, Sudi said that the current Deputy President has no issue. He also said that Ruto’s camp cannot chase Mt Kenya leaders supporting Ruto but stressed that moving forward they should proceed knowing that they may no longer be reading from the same page with Mt Kenya voters.
“Kindiki has no issues. I think he was also wondering what do I do and you also see the other person (Gachagua) is fighting him. But I saw yesterday he made a u-turn because he has seen that the Mountain is about to split” Sudi said when loosely translated from Kalenjin
The Kapseret Legislator known to be a close ally of the President stressed that they should start restrategizing and remove the Mt Kenya votes from their equation that will help them win Presidency in next year’s general elections.
“We want to ask ourselves, how much can we do as us, after removing from our heads that we are nolonger with those people, so that if there was message being sent then it has been sent because they are our people. Because someone like Kindiki and the other team that has stood with Ruto, what will you do with them and you can’t chase them. They have also tried what they can” Oscar Sudi said when loosely translated from Kalenjin
In summary, Oscar Sudi said that they may be shifting their Political strategy away from the vote-rich Mt Kenya region following the recent Ol Kalou By-elections results that saw DCP candidate win by a landslide against UDA
