A woman from Kiambu, Deborah Moraa, has shared a painful story about being betrayed by her ex-husband just days after giving birth to their first child.

In an emotional interview with TUKO.co.ke, Deborah spoke about how her marriage started full of hope but ended in heartbreak.

Deborah explained that she was introduced to her ex-husband by a pastor after she shared her struggles with him.

At the time, she was facing difficult situations at home, and the man promised to support her, including helping her return to school. She married him, thinking things would get better.

However, throughout their marriage, Deborah felt emotionally distant from him.

She described him as a man who didn’t care for her, leaving her to do everything for him.

Deborah recalled a particular moment that showed her husband’s lack of care. She was heavily pregnant and preparing supper for him when she felt too tired to continue.

He did not offer to help, and instead, she was rushed to the hospital, going into labor on December 23.

She gave birth on December 25, but her husband was not there to support her. Instead, it was the wife of the pastor who had introduced them that came to help.

After the birth, Deborah’s husband stayed home for three days before he had to leave for work, as he was a truck driver.

Deborah was left alone to care for the baby. On December 31, Deborah tried to reach her husband to wish him a happy New Year, but he didn’t answer her calls.

When she finally sent a message, the replies seemed strange, and she realized it wasn’t him responding.

Late that night, a woman answered his phone and told Deborah to stop calling. The woman said she was with her husband and that Deborah was bothering them.

Deborah felt her heart break as she heard those words.

She cried and prayed to God, asking why this was happening to her. With a small baby to care for, Deborah felt trapped and unable to leave the marriage.
