Kenyan tours and travels entrepreneur Simon Kabu has recently expressed the most difficult aspect he encounters in jointly running his business, Bonfire Adventures, with his ex-wife, Sarah Njoki, having publicly broken up at the end of 2024 with a highly dramatic and tumultuous separation that was characterized by leaked cctv footage and shocking revelations that made headlines everywhere.
Speaking to the media at the annual year-end party of his own company, Kabu explained: ‘The most difficult part about working together is the decision-making process. Now that we are not husband and wife, you cannot do something saying you are doing it for your wife it’s purely business, purely director and director.’ Since they both have an equal share in the company, there are certain decisions that Kabu and Sarah are forced to take together, together; in other words, jointly.
Kabu was also pleased to admit that it had not been easy for him to adjust from having a romantic relationship to a strictly professional relationship as co-directors, but he said they have managed to iron out those challenges as they came up, and now the decision-making process has become a bit more professional. Kabu asserted that it is generally acceptable for companies to operate with directors who don’t have any emotional relationship, and this has made things easier for them.
This news caused varying reactions on social networks, where some netizens called on the former love birds to reunite, while others praised them for being professional despite their differences.
