Neighbors of Jumaizi Khalusha, the main suspect in the Kware killings, have come forward with new details about his personal life.
These details paint a picture of a man whose behavior is very different from the horrible crimes he is accused of committing.
Jumaizi Khalusha, who is 33 years old, often seemed quiet and shy. His neighbors called him a “shy lover boy” who often had several women over to his house.
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the 33-year-old was a cruel man who didn’t care about other people’s lives.
The main person who is thought to have killed women and dumped their bodies in Kware is him. Khalusha lived in Kware until he was arrested on July 15.
His house was only 100 meters from the dump where he is said to have dumped the bodies of his victims. His neighbors told Daily Nation that he had several women over to his one-room house, where he has lived for two years.
“I saw him at home with several other women.” We heard that his wife had left him after a while. When he first came here, he was married.” Anne Mutua told Daily Nation, “I didn’t know what might have happened to the women until he was caught.”
Khalusha was caught early Monday morning in Soweto, but he didn’t let the police into his home in Kware.
The police found a number of things in his house and chose to use them as evidence in their investigations.
The officers told the court that 13 badly cut up female body parts that are at different stages of decomposition have been found so far.
