A grieving family in Likoni, Mombasa County, is urgently calling upon authorities to fast-track investigations into a brutal incident that claimed the life of their 32-year-old daughter.

According to the family, the woman was abducted by a group of unknown men and subjected to a horrifying act of sexual violence. She was later found unconscious outside a local hospital, having sustained grave injuries.

Concerned passersby quickly notified medical personnel, who rushed her into care. Tragically, she succumbed to the trauma shortly after.

The circumstances surrounding her ordeal remain deeply troubling. Eyewitness accounts suggest that unidentified men abandoned the woman outside the hospital before fleeing.

The family, devastated by the loss, is now seeking justice and accountability. They are urging the police to act swiftly and transparently in their pursuit of those responsible.

Local leaders have joined the victim’s family in calling for a thorough and expedited investigation. The police have yet to release a formal statement on the progress of the investigation.

Gender-based violence remains a pressing issue in the country, with many cases going unresolved due to delayed investigations or lack of evidence. Kenyans stress the need for stronger legal measures and faster police response to protect women from such atrocities.
