Today, in a shocking incident at Muthurwa Market, six street boys have been arrested in connection with the abduction of two teenagers from Kayole.

The victims, aged 17 and 18, were on their way to the city center on Saturday morning when they were confronted by two of the suspects around 9 AM.

According to police reports, the teenagers were forcibly taken to a makeshift shelter made of mabati, where they endured a harrowing eight-hour ordeal.

The assailants stripped the victims naked and subjected them to physical assault using crude weapons.

Adding to the distressing situation, the attackers used one of the victim’s phones to contact family members, demanding a ransom for their safe return.

Fortunately, one of the relatives sensed something was amiss and promptly alerted the police.

Officers from the nearby Kamkunji Police Station acted swiftly, tracing the location of the abducted teenagers.

By around 5 PM, law enforcement was able to intervene, rescuing the victims and arresting the suspects.

Upon their rescue, the teenagers were found with visible injuries to their heads, highlighting the brutality of their captors.

The police have withheld the names of the victims for privacy reasons and are continuing their investigation into the incident.

This case has raised serious concerns about the safety of young individuals in urban areas and the rising instances of street crime.

Authorities are urging community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to prevent further incidents.

The arrested individuals are expected to face serious charges, reflecting the severity of their actions and the urgent need for measures to address youth crime in the area.
