Shiru Stuart has opened up about the emotional toll of losing her close friend, Betty Bayo, who died of Leukemia.

In a heartfelt social media post, Shiru shared a video clip of herself dancing alongside Betty, capturing one of their cherished moments together in 2024. Alongside the clip, she expressed the depth of her grief, admitting that the loss has shaken her faith.

“I can’t lie—her death made me doubt God and even feel angry with Him. I still go to church, but deep down, I’m angry. I’ve lost a family member before, but this one hit differently,” she wrote.

Shiru noted that constant reminders from social media have made the grieving process even more difficult. According to her, platforms keep resurfacing past memories, including moments they shared, which continue to trigger fresh waves of pain.

“And the internet doesn’t make it any easier. This was one of our 2024 memories that my social media keeps reminding me of. I still have more memories coming up, especially in May 2025, when we were last together,” she added.

She admitted she is torn between taking a break from social media and facing the memories as they come. Despite the emotional weight, Shiru said she may continue sharing those moments publicly as a way of coping.

“I don’t even know if I should take a break from social media as from next month or just face it. As the memories come, I’ll share them with you too. We said hii pain tuna go through together.”

Shiru also addressed critics who might interpret her posts as attention-seeking, maintaining that grief is deeply personal.

“And to anyone who thinks this is sympathy-seeking—you won’t understand until it happens to you,” she said.
