The storm in Sarah Njoki and Simon Kabu’s broken marriage has just intensified. In a new twist that’s bound to raise eyebrows, Njoki has accused her estranged husband of disguising an affair as a paternal relationship with a woman he publicly refers to as his daughter.
According to court papers filed recently, Njoki alleges that Maureen Wambui, the woman in question, is not Kabu’s biological child. Instead, she claims Kabu has been using the term “daughter” to cover up what she believes is an ongoing romantic relationship.
Njoki paints a picture of betrayal wrapped in deception. She says Wambui has been living comfortably in what was once their marital home, enjoying privileges that include luxury cars and access to business assets that once belonged to the couple.
“These were supposed to be part of our family legacy,” Njoki states in her affidavit. “Instead, he handed them over like birthday gifts, while I was left to rebuild from scratch.”
She also suggests that the asset transfers were intentional and aimed at sidelining her, both emotionally and financially.
While Kabu is yet to respond to the latest accusations, insiders close to the case say he’s likely to challenge Njoki’s claims in court.
Previously, Kabu has maintained that Wambui is his daughter, though he has never publicly clarified whether she is biological, adopted, or symbolic.
The saga has triggered a firestorm on social media, with many questioning the blurred lines between mentorship, guardianship, and romantic entanglement.
Njoki, once the face of their power couple image, says she’s speaking out not to seek sympathy but to protect what’s left of her dignity.
“I’ve been silent for too long. People needed to know the truth,” she said during a brief appearance outside the courthouse.
As the case unfolds, more layers of the Kabu-Njoki marriage continue to peel back exposing a much messier reality than the polished image many admired.
