Shiro Stuart has shed more light on events that unfolded after the death of her close friend Betty Bayo, alleging that gospel singer Shiru wa GP was deliberately distanced from the late singer’s children.
Speaking in a TikTok video, Shiro said she witnessed what she described as efforts to keep the children away from people who had been close to their mother. According to her, Shiru wa GP was among those most affected.
Shiro claimed the children had been instructed not to interact with Shiru wa GP even before Betty’s funeral. She alleged that by the time the burial took place, the youngsters appeared uncomfortable around the gospel singer whenever she attempted to approach them.
According to Shiro, Shiru wa GP faced a difficult experience throughout the funeral period despite having been one of Betty Bayo’s close friends.
She further alleged that after Shiru wa GP passed by without speaking to Tash during the funeral, the situation worsened. Shiro claimed that negative information was later shared with the children about the singer, further straining the relationship.
Beyond Shiru wa GP’s situation, Shiro said she also began raising concerns about the children’s relationship with their maternal relatives. She claimed that whenever she questioned certain decisions regarding the children, she was discouraged from doing so and eventually lost access to them.
The UK-based content creator said her concerns were never directed at the children themselves but at the adults responsible for their welfare. She maintained that the youngsters should be allowed to spend time with their grandmother, aunts and other members of their mother’s family.
Shiro’s claims come as a custody dispute involving Pastor Victor Kanyari and Betty Bayo’s children continues to attract public attention.
