Media personality and content creator Bernice Saroni has shared a deeply emotional Thanksgiving message as she celebrates seven years of living in America reflecting on the painful, challenging and transformative journey she and her children have walked.In her heartfelt post, Bernice opened up about the toughest season of her life an eight month separation from her children during a painful divorce.
She revealed that during that period her kids were forced to stay with their great grandmother missing both their mother and their father, yet still managed to stay strong despite the confusion and pain surrounding them.Bernice went on to describe how her children had to grow up faster than expected learning to understand moments when mama does not have money. She recalled working double and even triple shifts just to provide for her family sometimes going two days without seeing them because she was out there grinding for us.
She also reflected on the year her kids could not celebrate birthdays a time she believes taught them endurance and the value of appreciating small victories. Today, Bernice says she is simply grateful grateful to God for carrying them through, grateful to be reunited with her kids and grateful that healing continues to unfold slowly but surely.
The mother of four acknowledged that life in America has not been easy. They struggled, adapted, cried and worked hard to rebuild. Her children had to accept life with one parent a huge adjustment for any young family but through it all. As she marks this Thanksgiving Bernice thanked God for restoration, strength, new beginnings and the future ahead.
