Samidoh and Son1

Popular Mugithi singer Samidoh, whose real name is Samuel Muchoki, has landed in hot water with the police service after reportedly absconding duty for over ten days.

The police authorities have now officially declared him a deserter and halted his salary indefinitely.

Samidoh, who also serves as a police officer, has been under scrutiny following comments he made regarding Wantam. His remarks stirred significant attention online and appear to have caused tension within the ranks of the police service.

Shortly after the controversial comments, he was transferred to Gilgil in what sources suggest was a disciplinary move. However, instead of reporting to his new post, Samidoh left the country and traveled to the United States.

According to internal sources, Samidoh failed to communicate his absence or seek official leave, violating the service code.

As a result, he has been classified as a deserter, a serious offense that could see him face disciplinary hearings or even dismissal from the service. His salary was immediately frozen after he missed duty for more than ten consecutive days without explanation.

The move has left many fans shocked as Samidoh has long balanced his musical career and police duties, earning admiration for maintaining both roles.

His recent disappearance from duty has raised questions about whether he intends to return to the force or pursue music full time.

While his fans continue to show support for his music, his future with the police now hangs in the balance. Whether this marks the end of Samidoh’s law enforcement career or just a temporary setback remains to be seen.

What is clear is that his recent choices have placed him at odds with the very institution he once proudly served.
