ODM’s Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has reacted to Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba’s remarks with a brief but telling response, saying “salala,” a phrase commonly used to express shock or disbelief.

Junet’s reaction came shortly after Wamuchomba accused the former Deputy President of intimidation and coercion aimed at forcing her to defect from UDA to the DCP party where in turn Wamuchomba has declined insisting she is in UDA till 2027.

By using the term “salala” Junet appeared to signal astonishment at the unfolding drama within the opposition. The comment, though short is expected to gaine traction online, with many interpreting it as subtle mockery of the turmoil in Mt Kenya politics.

The exchange adds another layer to the growing national conversation on political realignments and power struggles shaping the road to 2027.
