Jubilee party nominated Member of Parliament Hon Sabina Chege on Friday accompanied Deputy President Rugathi Gachagua and other Mt Kenya Leaders in a Coffee conference that was held in Meru county. This is a day after she was attacked in the National Assembly after chaos erupted over her ouster as the Minority Deputy Whip.
While speaking in Meru County, Sabina Chege appeared to have a broken arm as she was heavily bandaged and her arm was resting on a piece of clothing that is normally used to support broken arms. Sabina Chege went for further medical attention after first aid was conducted after being injured in the National Assembly.
While addressing those who attended the coffee conference in Meru, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua hit out at Azimio leaders who allegedly attacked Sabina Chege when chaos erupted in the National Assembly on Thursday.
DP Gachagua described those who attacked Sabina Chege as cowards saying that the days of beating women are long gone. He added that those who want to fight Sabina Chege should do so politically and not physically.
This comes after Moses Wetangula declined to oust Sabina Chege as Deputy Minority Whip after a petition was filed in court to challenge the move. He said that his arms are tied by the court case.
