President William Samoei Ruto on Friday suffered a huge setback after his bid to address the youths via his social media platforms of X flopped. The head of state was unable to address the youths as per the time this article was being published.
At first instance, President William Samoei Ruto hosted the meeting via his X space where he introduced himself to Kenyans. However, the space failed to take off after technical difficulties as experienced. Majority who attempted to join the space was unable to do so since the connection failed.
According to the CNN journalist Larry Madowo who was also following closely, President William Samoei Ruto and his team attempted to host the space three times, but he was unable to address the youths. This comes moments after addressed the nation on key changes he has made to his government.
While Addressing the Nation, President William Samoei Ruto declared that he has abolished the office of the First Lady as well as the office of the second Lady from this year budget. He also said that he has abolished the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary.
The head of state further said he will facilitate the hiring of medical interns as well as Junior Secondary schools teachers who have been pending for a while. He also stopped the purchase of new motor vehicle for government, as well as merged several government parastatals with overlapping roles.
The head of state further declared that all government officials who have attained retirement age of 60 years should proceed for their retirement immediately. He also promised to shuffle his cabinet.
