Latest reports indicates that president William Ruto has revealed his plans to defend his re-election in 2027 with a bold message to his opponents including former interior cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi, Former CJ David Maraga and others who are seeking to unseat him.
As reported, the head of state has affirmed that he will seek re-election urging the likes of Fred Matiangi, David Maraga, former vice-president Kalonzo Musyoka and Rigathi Gachagua to prepare for a tough contest.
“President William Ruto affirms he will seek re-election in 2027, urges opponents to prepare for a tough political contest”, report says.
This comes as Ruto is being backed by the former prime minister Raila Odinga who despite saying that ODM will table a candidate, the government should address key issues facing ordinary Kenyans.
